Dear community members, friends, and anyone else receiving this,

To our knowledge, there’s no ‘known’ COVID-19 exposure in our community… and we’d like to keep it that way.  The only known method to combat the spread of this virus is social distancing. We love you and that’s why we’re canceling everything in a group-setting at Chabad.

After careful consideration and consultations with Rabbis and Health Professionals we have decided to suspend all classes, events and services until further notice.  It is our hope that this preemptive action will preserve our community from the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world at this time.

My hope is that we can see this as an opportunity.

At Chabad we never "close our doors", rather we “open and expand our Chabad center” with your help, to your home and to the hundreds of beautiful homes of our community. We are here to help YOU – OUR COMMUNITY - and anyone else in need.

While there will likely continue to be very trying days, weeks and months ahead for our community and the entire world, let’s do our part in bringing an added measure of blessing and strength to our community and to the entire world. If one person with a virus in a remote part of China can affect the whole world, one candle, one Mitzvah, in Suffern certainly has the power to expel the darkness, anxieties and sickness and bring light and joy to the whole world. Light Shabbat candles tonight at 6:44.
